Auf der Britischen Satelliten-Position 28° Ost hat es einige Umschaltungen gegeben. Channel 4 ist nun auch mit Senderkennung empfangbar. Die Kennung "8350" wird jedoch ebenfalls noch parallel abgestrahlt. Die neu freigeschalteten regionalen Versionen haben außerdem auch ein "jetzt-danach EPG". Der indische Sender "9X" hat den Transponder gewechselt und sendet nun über 11307-v . Während der Olympischen Spiele können sich die Sport-Fans über das normale Programm von BBC 1 versorgen. Wer selber entscheiden will, welches Live-Ereignis er einschaltet, nutzt die Live-Streams. Diese sind ebenfalls auf 28° Ost über die Frequenz 12441-v mit einem FTA-Receiver empfangbar. |

Für die Übertragungen der Wettkämpfe in Peking nutzen die öffentlichen Programme erstmals ausgiebig ihre digitalen Nebenkanäle. Die Eröffnungsfeier wird im Hauptprogramm der ARD ausgestrahlt und ist so über die Satellitenpositionen 19° Ost und 13° Ost empfangbar. Die Live-Übertargungen der Sportereignisse an den Folgetagen wird dann über "ZDF-Doku" und "ARD-EinsFestival" oder "ARD-EinsPlus" fortgesetzt. Weitere Live-Übertragungen und Zusammenfassungen der am Nachmmittag stattfindenden Ereignisse laufen aber auch in den Hauptprogrammen. The German public television providers use their digital channels extensively. That way a broad coverage of sports events in Beijing can be covered. "ZDF-Doku" or "EinsFestival" are free to air - but on Astra 19° East only. And you need digital equipment to receive the programs because there is no analogue version. Hotbird viewers can only receive the reports via the main channels "Das Erste" and "ZDF". Still you can receive Olympic events via "Eurosport" analogue. But this is only available on Astra 19° East. Its footprint covers central Europe and provides commentary in German and English language. Sports fans in South East Europe should refer to channels receiveable via Hotbird. |

Ein HDTV-Sonderkanal "Beijing Olympics" wurde auf dem Arabsat Satelliten BADR 26° Ost gestartet. Im Samacom-Digitalpaket wird kostenlos und unverschlüsselt auf der Frequenz 12.169 V (SR 27500, FEC 3/4) gesendet. Auf dem gleichen Transponder sind auch Nickelodeon, Al Dwaliya und Ghiras TV sowie "MTV Arabia" unverschlüsselt zu empfangen. In Deutschland ist für den Empfang eine genau ausgerichtete 100cm Parabolantenne erforderlich. |

There is some new illustration of the satellite tv channels online at this web site. If you switch to the "TV TIP" section you will not only find pointers to selected television programs that are on air during the next days. To get some impression of the "who is who" you can watch some video clips that show you what the Free To Air channels look like. That gives you a clearer image than the pure channels frequency lists. So far only a handful examples are online. But we are working to add more. Just surf to "TV TIPS" and click the name of a satellite tv station. Please be patient to wait up to 10 seconds to load the video. Clips are not of much data volume. We try to keep them between 1 and 2 MB. |
